What this course is not
It is not a motivational programme. There is no section on finding your why, no talk about passion, and no promise that mindset will fix a margin.
It is not about concepts, menu design or branding. Those matter, and there are people who teach them better than we do. This course covers what happens after the doors open: the daily operations, costs and decisions that determine whether a good concept survives its third year.
It is also not long. Most restaurant operations courses are built to look substantial. Ours is built to be finished by someone who worked a double yesterday.
The five lessons
Each lesson runs between nine and thirteen minutes and maps to a specific decision you make every week. They are designed to be revisited rather than completed once.
- Restaurant Economics — how the money actually moves through a restaurant, and which numbers decide the year
- Better Staff = Better Results — scheduling against covers, and how staffing decisions land in your margin
- Service & Guest — the operational side of service: consistency, pace, and what actually brings guests back
- Saved = Earned — finding and closing the leaks: waste, portioning, purchasing, uncontrolled costs
- Work with the Dashboard — turning your own numbers into weekly decisions
The course and the dashboard are one product
We sell them together because separately they do not work. Without the dashboard, a course on restaurant operations is theory you will nod along to and never apply. Without the course, a dashboard is a set of numbers with no guidance on which one to act on first.
Every lesson is built around the same loop: see the reality, understand the number, act earlier. You watch a lesson, apply it to your own figures in the dashboard that week, and see what moves.
Who it is for
It is for owners and managers of independent restaurants — people who run a real room and want control over costs, margins and profit rather than a monthly surprise.
It assumes you already know how to run a service. It does not assume you have a finance background, and it does not require one. If you can log in and use a basic web application, you have all the technical skill this needs.
It is less useful for someone still choosing a concept or writing a business plan. Come back when you have real numbers to put into it — the course is built to be applied, not studied.
How to work through it
You do not need to follow a perfect order. Start with whatever your restaurant needs right now. If food cost is the fire, begin with Saved = Earned. If you cannot tell whether you are staffed correctly, start with Better Staff = Better Results.
Then revisit. The lessons are short deliberately, because the second viewing — after a month of your own data — is where most of the value is. Consistency matters more than speed.
What changes after you apply it
The honest answer is that nothing changes from watching. Operators who get value from this course get it in the week they first enter their own numbers and see a figure they did not expect.
Usually it is food cost. Owners who would have guessed 30% find 35%, and the four hours spent locating the gap pay for the course several times over. Sometimes it is labour: a schedule built from habit rather than from covers, costing two shifts a week that the room never needed.
After that, the change is smaller and more durable. You stop finding out how a month went after it closed. You start seeing the drift in week two, while there is still a month left to act on it. That is the whole ambition here — not a transformation, just earlier information and the judgement to use it.
Access and pricing
The course is included with lifetime access at €499, one payment. That covers the five video lessons, the cloud dashboard, downloadable templates and checklists, and 90 days of community access. Course and dashboard access do not expire.
We built all of this for our own restaurant first, in a town of 30,000 people, and the first year of running it properly saved us €4,000. Then we thought: why keep this to ourselves?
